2009

2008 was a record year for the Rogers family and we were glad to see it come to an end! We moved several times while waiting for our house to be finished. We also found ourselves in the midst of two legal battles that were quite ominous and really tough on our spirits. We fell victim to theft, when Shan's prized motorcycle was stolen. And lastly we welcomed a fiesty 4 pound 10 ounce baby boy to our lives. The craziness of 2008 is definitely one for the history books in our household. But as stressful and tense as the year turned out, we were also blessed immensely!

We moved into our "Dream House" in May of 2008. It is still sometimes surprising to me that we actually live in such a beautiful home and that I am now "Mommy" to not 1, but 2 AMAZING little boys! On July 19, 2008 we welcomed our 2nd little bundle of joy - Colby Tate Rogers. He came to us a TINY 4 pounds, 10 ounces. We were a little surprised by the news that Tucker was going to be a big brother, but Tate has made our family complete!

So we are looking forward to a Calmer 2009! Hopefully with less stress and more time to enjoy our new home and family! Happy New Year and God Bless!

Tate's First Christmas

As expected, Nana and Boppa made Tate's first Christmas quite memorable. It seems to be tradition now, that new grandbabies in the Tucker family get a wagon for their first Christmas. Though Tate is barely big enough to sit in his, he is the proud owner of a new John Deere wagon!!

Santa Baby

Isn't this the cutest Santa you have ever seen??? Colby Tate had a wonderful first Christmas. He is 5 months old now and finally starting to sleep through the night. Poor little guy has battled several colds and tummy issues. But he is finally starting to "come into his own". Leagh and Shelbe gave him this Santa suit for his first Christmas and it was too cute to resist!!

Santa's Goodies

Tucker asked for two things for Christmas - a Gator and a Shaving Kit. He was quite concerned about the size of that Gator and wondered often how Santa was going to have room for it on his sleigh. He ran to the front door on Christmas morning in hopes of discovering his much anticipated Gator. He was sadly disappointed when he realized there were no gifts on the porch waiting for him. But his spirits rose quickly when he discovered that Santa had actually left his prizes inside, by the Christmas tree!!

Christmas 2008

Oh how hard it is to get both boys looking at the camera!! This shot is one of about 100 that I took in an effort to get the "perfect" shot. Hope you like it!! Tate is 5 months in this picture and Tucker is 3. This is our first Christmas in our new house and we really enjoyed it! As you can tell Tate is a Happy boy and Tucker enjoys being a Big Brother!
